Bernadette and Jen

Bernadette Peters (born Bernadette Lazzara on 28 February 1948) is an American actor, singer, and writer of children's books from Ozone Park Queens New York . In her career, which spans five decades she has starred in musical theatre movies and TV shows and has also performed as a solo artist and recording. She's received seven Tony Awards nominations, two of which she won along with 8 Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards were won for four Broadway casting albums, in which she performed. Peters began her career in acting on stage in 1960s as young people, but she went on to work during the 1970s she appeared on television and film. Alongside her roles on The Muppet Show, The Carol Burnett Show, and in other TV work she also received praise for her roles she had played in Annie and Silent Movie. The actress returned to Broadway in the 1980s, in which she was the most famous Broadway star for the next thirty years. Her singles have been released as well as numerous cast albums and performs regularly in concerts as a solo artist. Peters is also a film and TV actor who has won once and been nominated for three Emmy Awards.
